Mr. Meyer, age 86 years, died Saturday December 7, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region. Robert was born in Bay City on June 14, 1927 to the late Conrad and Anna (Stele) Meyer. He married the former Geraldine M. Dishaw on February 14, 1964. He retired from the United States Air Force and then from RWC in Bay City. Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife Geri, 3 children; Dennis (Delores) Jean, Gisela (John) Stogner, and Sonja (Jack) Wulz. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; Denise (Thom) LaBelle, Dennis (Sherry) Jean, Terry (Dee Ann) Jean, Jason Jean, Brian (Kristin) Stogner, Angela Deaton, Stefani Threadgill. 18 great grandchildren; Stevie Jo (Jeff) Williams, Kyle Filcek, Timmy Kajdan, Brandy Jean, Brianna Jean, Bernard Jean, Zack Valincourt, Duane Jean "D.J.", Danyele Jean, Jay Jay Jean , Anthony Jean, Jayson Stogner, Kadence Stogner, Peighton Stogner, Jaxson Deaton, Dawson Deaton, Laney Deaton, Kennedy Threadgill, 2 great great grandchildren; Brayden Williams, Bayleigh Rae Williams. He was preceded in death by son Duane Jean, grandson Jay Stogner, 2 brothers and 6 sisters; Alex Meyer, Ed Meyer, Rachell Shann, Esther Dishaw, Elaine Leer, Mary Haberland, Martha Helmreich, and Molly Kern. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.m. on Friday December 13, 2013 at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, 501 S. Catherine Street, Bay City. Reverend Andreas Teich will officiate. Burial to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home , Bay City on Thursday December 12, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
