Inez M. ‘Becky' Taggart, 90, of Palisades, passed away December 7, 2013, at her home.

She was born November 19, 1923, in Afton, Wyoming to Mariner Nelson and Olive Hale Nelson. She grew up on a farm in Grover, Wyoming. She graduated from high school and seminary in Afton.

On April 1, 1941, Becky married Albert Leroy ‘Roy' Taggart in Randolph, Utah. They lived in Star Valley and later that year moved to Ogden, Utah where Roy worked at Hill Field Air Force Base. In 1944, they moved back to Afton, Wyoming where three of their children were born, two sons and one daughter.

In 1952, Roy went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation on the Palisades Dam and moved their family to Palisades. Becky also went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation from 1956-1973 doing janitorial work. During that time their family grew to include two more daughters. After retiring, she continued to support the Bureau by doing laundry for several years and also worked at several local Palisades businesses.

In 1984, they lost their oldest daughter, Cindy, in a car accident in Texas and in 1990 her husband, Roy, passed away.

She loved to work in her garden and became well know for her well-kept garden and beautiful flower beds. She also loved to crochet and created many hand crafted projects.

Becky is survived by four of her children, Robert Taggart, of Shelley, Randy (Georgena) Taggart, of Preston, Tammy (Fred) Emmitt, of Idaho Falls, and Kelli (Larry) Perzichilli, of Palisades; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with family and friends from 10-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the services at the funeral home.
