Jane Brint/Brent Kirkham was born in Kenn, Somerset, England to Edward and Letitia Beacham Brint/Brent. She was baptized at Kenn Parish church, St. John the Evangelist on the 6th of Jan 1833.

Her grandparents were William and Sarah Beacham, who had been living in Tickenham, Somerset, England.

On the 15th of May 1839, at the age of 6, Jane arrived in Philadelphia, PA from Liverpool, England, on board the ship Lucy Anne. She was accompanied by her grandparents William and Sarah Beacham, uncle John Beacham, and aunt Sarah Beacham late Bearstler. Her parents and siblings arrived later on the 15th of May 1846 in New York, New York from Bristol, England on board the ship Cosmo. Jane's youngest brother Joseph was born in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA that same year.

Jane Brint/Brent married Henry Richard Kirkham on the 1st of Jan 1848 at Christ Episcopal Church in Danville, Montour, PA. The minister officiating was M. C. Lightner.

In 1850, she and Henry are still living in Danville, Montour, PA. However by 1860, Jane and Henry are living in Brunswick, Chariton, MO with son Henry Harrison Kirkham. And then in 1870, they are found to have moved on to Plattsmouth, Cass, Nebraska. They are also found in Rock Bluff, Cass, Nebraska.

Jane Brint Kirkham died from "a sudden attack of the grippe" at her son John's home in Plattsmouth, Cass, Nebraska in 1915.
