Charlyne Fields Allman nee Smith of St. James, MO was born on Thursday, December 9, 1915 in Piggott, AR to Walter Smith and Hattie Mink Smith. She passed away at Golden Living Center, St. James, MO on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the age of 94 years, 7 months, and 30 days.

Charlyne married Russell Fields and to this union 4 children were born.

She worked in the cafeteria for Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis, MO for several years, then later was a Raleigh dealer in the area. She was a member of the Rolla Freewill Baptist Church, and had earlier done volunteer work at local nursing homes. She was a loving mother and an excellent cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers Elmer (Romagene) Smith and Donald Smith.


A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Edward Fields officiating at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.

Memorials may be given to the Missouri Veterans Home, St. James, MO.
