BISHER, Mrs. Mary Fisher, 1869-1945

Mrs. Mary Fisher Bisher, aged 76, died at her home at Kingston, after several years illness. She had been bedridden for the past three months. Mrs. Bisher was born at Hazleton and spent her girlhood days at Sybertsville. For the past 56 years she had lived in Kingston, where she was a member of the Methodist church and its various women's societies. She was affiliated witht he White Shrine of Scranton and queen Esther Chapter, Eastern Star. Surviving are these children: Earle Bisher, of Kingston; L.G. Bisher, Plains; Geraldine and Lila Bisher, at home, and Sgt. Kenneth Bisher, U.S. Army, home on furlough from Italy; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bisher, of Plymouth, and Miss Edna Fisher, of Hazleton, and two brothers, Elmer E. Fisher, of Wilkes-Barre, and Theodore Fisher, of Singac, N.J. Her husband, A. Pardee Bisher, died 22 years ago. The funeral will be held Saturday with Rev. Charles W. Phillips of Kingston Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery at Kingston.
