Leon C. Schuetz, 88, Manhattan, died Sept. 20 at St. Joseph Senior Community in Manhattan.
He was born Nov. 4, 1909 in Germantown. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan and St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton. He married Ruth Rickell on April 30, 1934. She died June 19, 1987. He then married Wilma Weik on Feb. 2, 1991.
Survivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Charles Schuetz, Wollaston, Mass., L. Gerald Schuetz, Leon, John Schuetz, Olmstead Falls, Ohio, and Raymond Schuetz, Topeka; two brothers, Lloyd Schutez, Horton, and Clement Schuetz, Atasadero, Calif.; two sisters, Genevieve Armstrong and Rita Winkelbauer, both of Horton; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Horton. Burial will be in St. Leo's Catholic Church Cemetery in Horton.
