Carla Jane Bade died December 6, 2013 at Duff's Friendship Villa in Nebraska City at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Carla was born June 22, 1947 in Nebraska City, the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Naber-Peters) Bade.

Carla's mother died when Carla was a baby. Her step mother, Darlene (Grieswell) Bade took care of her for more than 50 years.

She lived in Dunbar before moving to Nebraska City in 1980.

Carla moved to Duff's Friendship Villa in 1998 when Darlene could no longer care for her.

She loved spending time with friends at Duff's and sitting outside at the gazebo.

Carla was also an avid Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan and loved watching games on television.

She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Talmage where she was baptized.

Survivors include her half brother, Edward Bade and his wife Ann of Nebraska City; many cousins, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Darlene Bade; and sister, Mary Ellen.
