Killed instantly when hit by a Burlingtonn railroad switch engine near Moline. He had resided in Rock Island for 35 years preceding his death. November 3, 1945 he married Mary Jane Baker. Surviving are the widow and son, George James Lekos at home and stepson Marshall E. Baker. He was a member of the Moline Greek Church.
