Services for Mrs. James (Bertha) Fee, 84, lifelong Quimby area resident, will be today at 2:30 p.m. in the Quimby United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marvin D. Cleair will officiate. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery under the direction of the Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee. A family prayer service will be at 2:15 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Fee died Sunday in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, Cherokee, following a brief illness. Bertha Fassler was born Oct. 20, 1901, in Cherokee County. She married John R. Pinkerton. He died June 9,1962. She taught in area rural schools and kindergarten in the Quimby school system for several years, retiring in 1964.

She married James Fee May 30, 1964, in Quimby.

Mrs. Fee was a member of the Quimby Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Quimby Federated Garden Club.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Judy) Brown, Quimby; three stepsons, Duane Fee, Walnut Creek, Calif.; Keith Fee, Cherokee, and Russell Fee, Newark, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Alice) Hoeppner and Mrs. James (Ethel) Warrender, both Quimby; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.
