The funeral services over the remains of the late Washington Kelly were held Sunday afternoon from the Baptist church. The church was filled with relatives and friends of the deceased who had gathered at this time to pay their last respects to the deceased. The Reverend Richard M. Vaughan officiated at the services and the song service was rendered by Mrs. C.S. Putnam, Mrs. C.F, Yates, Messrs. William Blabon and C.W.Vankirk.

Mr. Kelly was born at Williamsport, Pa., and came to Janesville in 1849, and has resided here since that time. He was a straightforward businessman and a faithful earnest and consistent member of the Baptist church and was held is high esteem by all.

The interment was at Oak Hill cemetery and the pall bearers being E.N. Butterfield, W.H. Rese, A.F. Hall, Charles Elder, J.A. Waltfin, and C.H. Smith.
