Wanette News, May 25, 1939
The new public library, made possible by WPA funds, is now open and ready for patrons to register for books. The library has about 100 books at present, but many more are needed. If anyone has a book or books they are through reading, they will be highly appreciated at the library. Mrs. Ovia CANADAY and Mrs. Maud COSSEY are in charge of the library, which is situated upstairs in the old State Bank building.
