Albert S. Chambers, a lifelong resident of this community, died at his home in the Bloomfield addition Tuesday at 1:15 a.m. after having been in poor health the past five years of dropsy.
Mr. Chambers, a retired farmer, was 76 years, three months and two days of age, having been born on November 20, 1861, in Miami county, a son of the late Sterling and Sarah Chambers. He was united in marriage with Lottie Belle Conner in 1896.
Surviving besdies the widow are three sons, Paul Franklin Chambers, at home; John Sterling Chambers, Peru, and Clayson Edward Chambers, Newcastle, Ind.; a brother Andrew Chambers, Erie township; a half-brother, Daniel chambers, Loree, two sisters, Mrs. Jane Brewer, Wabash, and Mrs. Della King, Peru; a half-sister, Mrs. Rosanna Townsend, Peru and seven grandchildren. Seven children preceded Mr. Chambers in death.
Friends may view the remains at the Drake Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steininger of the Nazarene church officiating. Interment will be in Schrock cemetery.
