John Graham Hoefs, 61, of Conroe Texas, was born on May 12, 1952 in Pecos, Texas and died on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Raised on his family's ranch in Reeves County, Texas, Graham was the salutatorian of the 1970 graduating class of Peacock Military Academy in San Antonio, Texas. He then attended The University of Texas in Austin, and later graduated from San Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, with a degree in accounting.

Graham was a licensed CPA and worked 38 years in the oil and gas industry as an accountant and controller.

Graham was an active member at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Spring, Texas, where he served as treasurer.

An avid outdoorsman, Graham enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf. He was on the rifle team at Peacock Military Academy and placed second in Third Army Rifle Competition as a cadet.

Graham is preceded in death by his grandparents Rudolph and Bertha Hoefs, and Ferd and Esther Scrivener. He is survived by wife, one daughter, grandsons.
