He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on July 9, 1924. The son of the late; Anders and Engla Hanson Anderson.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1942 to 1944 where he was wounded in the Italian Campaign.
He was employed as a machinist for General Electric retiring in 1986.
He was a former member of the Disabled Veterans of America and the VFW.
Survivors include his wife; Shirley Scranton Anderson of Mayfield. Children; Bruce Anderson and his wife Kris of Gloversville, Amy Miller and her husband Dale of Morris, PA., Don Bergman and his wife Diane of Chester, NH and Roger Bergman and his wife Ellen of Northville. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive him.
He was predeceased by his daughter; Mary Anderson and his first wife; Marilyn.
Burial will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
