Carl "Dean" Rodgers, age 82, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at 10:18 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013, in his home, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born October 15, 1931, in Chesapeake, Mo., the son of the late William Allen and Eula Dale (Cantrell) Rodgers.
Dean is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Lee (Dixon) Rodgers; three children: Adina Nelson and her husband, David, Vickie Peck, and David Rodgers; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial in the Maple Park Cemetery.
