KERRVILLE - Mrs. Catherine Coulter Burt, 102, of Kerrville, passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2004, at Alpine Terrace in Kerrville. Born Aug. 15, 1901, near Eureka, Kan., to Duke W. and Rosella Wall Coulter, she had been a resident of Kerrville since 1969.

Mrs. Burt was a graduate of the University of Kansas in 1923. On May 25, 1925, in Eureka, Kan., she married Harold A. Burt; she then made her life as a wife and homemaker. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1979. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Kerrville, and was active in the Altar Guild and Cottage Shop for many years. Mrs. Burt also was a life member of the Friends of the Library.

Mrs. Burt was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Duke Burt, who passed away in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Dan Burt and his wife, Anne Burt, of Kerrville; five grandchildren, Catherine Catt, Clifford Burt, Douglas Burt, Charles Burt and Barbara Parrish; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

Graveside services will be conducted at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Stockton Williams of St. Peter's Episcopal Church officiating. A memorial service will be at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at 1 p.m., also officiated by the Rev. Stockton Williams.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
