Sirena M. Slusher-Abbott, 27, passed away Nov. 26, 2013, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Nineveh.

Sirena was born April 24, 1986, in Indianapolis.

She was a homemaker.

Sirena enjoyed drawing, helping others and going to church. She loved her children, being a mother and attending family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Abbott of Nineveh; a daughter, Alexanderia Slusher-Abbott of Nineveh; her mother, Augusta Cox of Jamestown; a sister, Crystal Whyde of Morristown; two brothers, Daniel Cox and Larry Whyde, both of Indianapolis; mother- and father-in-law, Mary and Michael Frick of Nineveh; six brothers-in-law, Michael Curtis, David Dodson, Brent Dodson, Tony Frick, Jesse Frick and Michael Frick Jr.; two aunts, Linda Moody and Loretta Johnson; and an uncle, Mark Cox.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Slusher; and three children, John Ryan Slusher-Abbott, Hailey Lynn Slusher-Abbott and Brandon Slusher; and a grandmother, Beverly Cox.

The Rev. Paul Taylor will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Crossing Church, 8728 S. Nineveh Road, Nineveh. Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Youngs Creek Cemetery near Franklin.

Jessen Funeral Home, Trafalgar Chapel, is handling arrangements.
