She was a lifelong member of Westwood Baptist Church, and employed with JC Penney's for many years. She was a devoted Christian, loving mother, nannie and friend to many. Her Lord, family and church were foremost in her life. Everyone was blessed by her sweet presence and spirit.
Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Loyd Candler and Nannie Jane Candler; her husband, Herman Crawford; brother, Charles Floyd Candler; sister, Pauline Candler Banks; and her beloved son-in-law, Skip Sherrill.
She is survived by her loving family: son, Charles H. Crawford and wife Geraldine of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Ann C. Sherrill of Denver, NC; her beloved niece and friend, Christine Mashburn; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Westwood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carson Mosley and Rev. Richard Baird officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
