John Roland Burnett, passed away Monday, December 02, 2013 at Woodland Park Nursing Home, Shepherd, Texas. He was age 85, born in Livingston, Texas on July 29, 1928 to parents, Buster and Mattie Chapman Burnett who preceded him in death along with his wife, Dorothy Burnett; brother, Bearron Burnett; and his sister, Lorine Smith.

Survivors include his children, Jim Burnett, David Burnett, Larry Burnett and wife Cindy, Johnny Burnett and wife Jerri, all of Livingston, Texas; brothers, Coleman Burnett and wife, Carolyn of Goodrich, Texas; Franklin D. Burnett and wife Betty of Livingston; James Allen Burnett and wife Clara of Livingston; Robert Roy Burnett and wife Rosie of Livingston; he has four grandchildren, all of Livingston; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends.

Bro. Harold Isaacs of Beacon Bay Baptist Church in Livingston will preside over funeral services at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery.
