Rosalie was the 11th of 12 children born to George Joseph and Josephine Adelheid Ebert Hartman. Her elder siblings were Joseph William, John Peter, Myrtle Marie, Leona Catherine, Delbert Raymond, Dorothy Bernadine, Mary Gertrude, Alice Louise, Lucille Josephine, and Ethel Evelyn, her younger sibling was Donald George Hartman.

Her grandparents were John and Kathrine (Katharina) Elisabeth Steinberg Hartman. Great grandparents were Peter and Agnes Hartman and Konrad (Conrad) and Anna Catharina Schüler Steinberg.

Rosalie A. Hartman, 81, of Bourbonnais, formerly of Cullom, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at her residence.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Cullom. Father Bill Keebler of St. John's Catholic Church will officiate. Memorials in Rosalie's name may be left to St. John's Catholic Church or a charity of donor's choice. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Cullom is handling the arrangements.

Rosalie was born in Iroquois County, IL on June 28, 1932, one of twelve children to George and Josephine (Ebert) Hartman. She is survived by two sisters: Ethel (Junior) Simoneau of Watseka, IL and Alice (Harry) Gualandi of Wenona, IL; several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Rosalie graduated from Cullom High School in 1950. She was employed Kankakee Glass Co. and later at Veronda's Music Shop in Kankakee.
