WILLIAM A. "BILL" ISAACS JR. Age 74 of Portage, formerly of Griffith, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004. He was a Portage resident since 1991 and retired from Nipsco in 1992 with 37 years of service. Bill served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy and was a former member of the Griffith American Legion Post 66.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel M "Dottie" Isaacs (nee Arthur) of Portage; 2 sons, Michael A. (Cheryl) Isaacs of Tigard, Oregon, Kelly R. Isaacs of Chesterton; 2 daughters, Kemberly K. (John) Massa-Simkus of Highland, Deanne R. (Wayne) Jackson of Hammond; 2 sisters, Nancy Lee (Don) Guillams of Perrysville, Indiana, Edna Alberta (John) Harper of Perrysville, Indiana; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Levona Isaacs, Sr.

Funeral services are Sunday, November 14, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage with Pastor Peter Marshall officiating. Cremation will follow at Calvary Crematory. Visitation is Saturday, November 13, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
