Funeral services for Theresa E. Johnson, age 69, of Pittsford, NY and formerly of Heuvelton will be held Saturday (Dec 7, 2013) at 11:00 a.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson passed away Monday Dec 2, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Surviving is her son, David Premo and his wife Eileen of Ogdensburg; daughters Mary Staie and her husband Bob and Kimberly Johnson of Pittsford; brothers Carl "Red" St. Denny and George St. Denny; sister Ann Montroy; grandchildren Nicole and Daniel Robbins of Fayetteville, NC, Brittany Staie of Pittsford, Katherine, and Rodger and Douglas Premo of Ogdensburg; God Mother Elizabeth Irving of Ogdensburg; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Theresa was predeceased by her husbands, J. Roger Premo and Allen Johnson; brothers Robert, Donald and Joseph St. Denny; and sisters Norma Bryden, Rosemary Van Amlesfort, Suzanne Burnette and Janice St. Denny.
She was born on July 28, 1944 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Harry M. & Ruth J. (Wells) St. Denny. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and married J. Roger Premo on Oct 5, 1963 at St. Mary's Cathedral. Many years later she was remarried to Allen Johnson on July 7, 1983. He also predeceased her.
During her career she was employed as a Therapy Aid at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in Ogdensburg where she worked for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and watching game show network.
