Peter Letellier, aged 26 years, died in Sioux City, Iowa of consumption (tuberculosis) on February 1, at 2:15am, at his home, 1412 Dace Street.


The funeral services over the remains of the deceased will be held at the St. Jean Baptist church Saturday forenoon at 10 o'clock. Peter Letellier had been for years the employee of the post office as mailing clerk. He was generally liked by all that knew him and was one of the most trusted employees of the office. He had for a long time been a sufferer of consumption, but remained at his duties as long as possible. Several weeks ago he was obliged to give up work and has since been confined to the house. He leaves a wife and three children.

Sioux City Iowa Journal, June 10, 1888, page 9 news article reports that Peter Letellier and Miss Georgia Canten were married in St. Mary's church at 11:30 Wednesday morning [June 7, 1888] by Rev. M. C. Daly. They went to Omaha for a short trip.
