Wilma Pellikaan died July 12, 2003, at her home in Verdigre. The daughter of Frank and Kate (Dvorak) Vech was born June 10, 1916, in Knox County. She graduated from Verdigre High School in 1932.
She married Ray Pellikaan in 1938. The couple lived in Clarksville, Mo., before moving to Madison in 1974, where her husband served as mayor.
Following the death of her husband in 2000, she moved to Verdigre.
She was survived by 2 sons, 3 sisters, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
