E. Louise Critchlow Benoit, 85, formerly of Evans City, passed peacefully Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler.
Born on July 4, 1918, in Reibold, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Erla Hughes Critchlow.
Louise was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Butler.
She had retired from Wayne Scheidemantle's Bus Co. as a bus driver.
Louise's greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Benoit, who she married May 1, 1939, and who died on Oct. 6, 2002; two brothers; six sisters; and a grandson.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann (Edward) Flick of Butler; three sons, Harry "Bud" (Mary Lou) Benoit of North Carolina, Joseph (Cindy) Benoit of Evans City and Jay Benoit of Harmony; one sister, Dora Nicklas of Evans City; eight grandchildren, Melissa Morgan, Maria Gill, Lee Flick, Matthew Benoit, Jill Benoit-Mink, Brad Benoit, Brent Benoit and Sara Nasky; and 10 great-grandchildren, Brandon, William and Louise Flick, Hunter, Levi, Hannah and Eva Morgan, Gracie Gill, Keeley and Cole Nasky.
BENIOT - A private family visitation and burial for E. Louise Critchlow Benoit, who passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, was Monday in the Brownsdale Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, Evans City.
