DELHI (Special) — Funeral services for John E. McGuire, 79, of Delhi, were at 2 p.m. today at Lamar Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Baucum and Pat Lofton officiating.

Burial was in Delhi Cemetery under the direction of Kidder-Cox and Hall Funeral Home of Delhi.

Mr. McGuire died early Wednesday in the Delhi Clinic after a long illness.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Napper of Monroe, Mrs. Edith Farley, Mrs. Pinkie Maude Stephens and Miss Lucille McGuire, all of Delhi, and Mrs. Jessie Faye Baucum of Yazoo City, Miss.; four sons, Jeff McGuire of Delhi, John E. and Homer McGuire, both of Marshall, Tex., and James McGuire of Longview, Tex.; a brother, George W. McGuire of Atlanta, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Darnell of Bossier City and Mrs. G. J. Tillery of Houma; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Woodie Williams, Jim Bullock, Talmadge Blake, Ernest Ogden, Dan Sledge and Jimmy Loftin.
