He was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on January 29,1916, to Oscar Rudolph Edstrom and Charlotte (Merritt) Edstrom . He was married in Chicago, Illinois to Lena Schellhase. Survivors: son, William Jr. (Jean) Edstrom of Valparaiso,IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 7 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel with Rev. Timothy Engel officiating. Interment, private. Visitation Thursday, December 4, 2003, from 5:00 til time of service at 7 p.m. Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN. Mr. Edstrom was an area resident for 5 years coming from South Holland, IL. He was a Supervisor at Electromotive Division, General Motors for 35 years. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice. He was a member of Isaac Walton League, Portage,IN, Maquette Yacht Club and OakLawn, IL Elks Lodge.
