ORANGE - Elizabeth V. "Libby" Thomasy, 98, a former Cutler Corner Road in Orange resident, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.

Born April 7, 1915, in Roslindale, Mass., she was the fourth child of Thomas E. and Elizabeth M. (Pearson) Folger. She attended Longfellow Elementary School and Girls' Latin School, both in Boston, and went on to graduate with a certificate in physical therapy from Boston Bouve College in 1935.

On Sept. 7, 1941, she married Clarence E. "Tommy" Thomasy. Following their marriage, they made their home in Marshfield, Mass., where they enjoyed many activities and special times. He died April 15, 1962. After his death, Libby worked as a physical therapist at Robert Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. She was active in her community and in the Rexhame Chapter 103 Order of the Eastern Star.

In 1982, she purchased a home in Orange, Vt., and moved there to be near her family. Libby continued to be active in her community and was a volunteer with Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice and RSVP. She also had a winter home in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and was active in her community there.

In 1999, she married Vernon Latta. He died Jan. 2, 2011.

Libby was always available for her friends and family. She enjoyed her church family and looked forward to Sunday mornings at the Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Berlin, Vt., and the Beach Baptist Church in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and the Southwest Baptist Church in Fort Myers, Fla. She was always happy to participate in church activities or volunteer.

Always active, she enjoyed socializing with friends weekly, driving them when needed, going to lunch and shopping. She especially loved her pets and flower gardening. Many including her niece Marjory Martenson and her husband, Lee, of Orange, will miss her.

Libby is survived by her nieces, Marjory Martenson and her husband, Lee, Luella Burbank and her husband, Teddy, Alice Milardo, Lydia Folger and Grace "Gay" Folger; her nephews Peter Folger and Franklin Folger; and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, her brothers, Thomas, Richard and Franklin; sister, Alice; and nephew Thomas Folger predeceased her.

A graveside service will be held later in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Marshfield, Mass., and interment will be with her husband Tommy.
