The Reverend Dahl was born June 21, 1843, in Norway to Hans Torgerson and Anne (née Pedersen) Dahl. The family came to America in 1860. He studied at Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa and took up a theological course in St. Louis. He entered the ministry in 1867 serving his first call at Blue Earth and Jackson Lake. He remained there until 1888 and then was called to the states of Kansas and Nebraska; acting as missionary. He lived at Lincoln, Nebraska for a number of years. In later years he served congregations in Minneapolis and Glencoe. He tired from the ministry about a year ago, having served fifty years.
He was survived by his invalid wife; a son, Dr. G.A. Dahl of Mankato; daughters: Mrs. Reverend O. (Hanna) Hagoes of Tacoma, Wash. and Magdeline Dahl.
