Roland E. Martin, 88, of 5 Senior City, died Monday at Kent County Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Bernadette (Du Val) Martin.
He was employed by the Providence Gas Company as a foreman for more than 30 years until retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Overseas Lodge of Providence F & AM for more than 50 years and a life member of the Pawtuxet Athletic Club.
Born in Swansea, Mass., he was a son of the late Frank and Lillian (Maker) Martin. He had been a resident of Warwick 50 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, a brother, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
