Mrs. Susie Wallace, 98, of Canute died Sunday, Feb. 28 at Hodges Nursing Home in Elk City.
She was born Jan. 22, 1889 at Hempshire, Ark.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, in the Martin Funeral Home with Doyle Harris officiating. Burial was in Canute Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Preston Wallace of Sulphur Springs, Texas, W. D. Wallace of Balch Springs, Texas, and James Wade Wallace of Grandfalls, Texas; five daughters, Cora Coomer of Garland, Texas; Dollie Jackson of Enloe, Texas, Estelle Wilson of Paris, Texas, Della Fay Gilmore of Lawnview, Texas and Bonnie Jo Peck of Canute; four step children, Barney Wallace of Roscoe, Texas, C. P. Wallace, of Seminole, Texas, Dessie Carter of Enloe, Texas, and Bessie Huie of Cooper, Texas; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren."
