Sanie Aliff Fletcher, 91, of Sophia, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, following a long illness.

Born June 14, 1914, in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of the late Wayne Justice and Octavia E. Bolen Justice.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, John Earl Aliff; her second husband, the Rev. Luther Fletcher; sons, Billy and Bobby Aliff; daughters, Shelby Aliff and Mary Farley; and a grandchild, Serina Pegram.

Surviving are sons, John Aliff and wife, Wanda, of Beckley, Mickey Aliff and wife, Vicki, of McKinney, Texas, Riley Aliff and wife, Geraldine, of Sophia, with whom she made her home, and Dale Fletcher and wife, Tammy, of Elkin, N.C.; a daughter, Sharon Lockhart and husband, Darrell, of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with Pastor Bill Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Cemetery at Odd.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.
