Irma Dell Webb Canada, 88, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at an Abilene hospital. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Clyde with Monty Barnett officiating and Robert Stone assisting. Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Baird under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Irma was born February 20, 1925, at her home in Clyde to Samuel Edmund and Stella Fortune South Webb. She was a 1942 graduate of Clyde High School and lived almost her entire life in the Clyde and Baird area. She was the widow of Selan Lester Canada whom she married March 20, 1943, in Garden City, Kansas, where he was stationed with the U.S. Army Air Force at the time. Irma enjoyed telling stories, taking pictures, growing wildflowers, canning fruits and vegetables and collecting rocks. She loved her family and her church family at First United Methodist Church in Clyde where she had been a member for many years. She was happiest when surrounded by her family.

Irma is survived by all nine of her children, David Canada of Baird, Dwayne Canada and wife Brenda of Plains, Stella Marie Fellers and husband Bobby of Abilene, Joe Canada and wife Jana of Clyde, William Canada of Eula, Selan Canada of Stanton, Janice Newsome and husband Neal of Plains, Dwight Canada and wife Janice of Baird, and Darrell Canada of Abilene; two brothers, Brit Webb of Marfa and Charlie Webb of Hibbing, MN; three sisters, Marty Batley of Burkburnett, Amy Faircloth of Clyde and Betty Farmer of Abilene; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Selan, who died in 1994; six brothers, Harold, Bascome, Gerald, Sam, Bill and Joe Webb; and two sisters, Ava Halbrook and Bess Gorman.

Her 13 grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 370, Clyde, Texas 79510, the Ross Cemetery Association, PO Box 74, Baird, Texas 79504 or ones favorite charity.
