Robert M. Abell, a well known LaRue County farmer, died at his home near town, Sunday morning, April 23rd. He had been in ill health for several years, but was bedfast only a month. He was 82 years of age.
His wife, Mrs. Hessie Adams Abell, preceded him in death in 1941.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Susan Abell Tharp, and a grandson, Alva Martin Tharp, who made their home with him; two sons, James Abell, of Columbus, Ohio, and Alva Abell, of Lansdowne, Pa; two other grandchildren, Mrs. James Castleman and Robert Abell, and three great grandchildren of Hodgenville; one brother, James Abell of Sonora.
Funeral services were conducted by Paul Payne, of Louisville, from the Funeral Home here Tuesday afternoon, with interment in Red Hill Cemetery.
