DANVILLE, Va. - Mrs. Mallie Cade Abercrombie, 91, died Tuesday, August 26, 1997, at Stratford Health Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greensboro.

A native of McCormick County, S.C., Mrs. Abercrombie was a graduate of Winthrop College. She was a resident of Greensboro for 60 years, where she was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and a sustaining member of the Greensboro Junior League. She moved to Danville, Va., in 1995, and resided at Stratford House Retirement Home, and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Mrs. Abercrombie was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Milo B. Abercrombie Jr.

Surviving are her son, Milo Bolling Abercrombie III of Danville, Va.; granddaughters, Elizabeth Daniels, Jane Eggleston, both of Danville, Va., Martha Woodley of Raleigh; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
