Mrs. Hamilton Passes Away
Death claimed Mrs. Maggie B. Hamilton, 87, wife of Frank Hamilton, at 10:40 o'clock Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth hospital, following an extended illness. She had been in critical condition since breaking her hip in a fall on the street here a few days ago.
Decedent was born in Lexington, Ky., February 4, 1850. She came to California in the early '70s, residing at Stockton for a time before coming to Red Bluff. She was a member of the Christian church and had been a regular atendant [sic] at that church in company with her husband for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Sherwood Zinn, of Westwood, who was one of three children born to decedent through a former marriage to John F. Grimm. One daughter, Anna M. Kirk, and a son, Frank . Grimm, passed away seeral [sic] years ago. There is one grandson, Robert E. E. Kirk, of San Francisco, and two grandchildren, Robert, Jr., and Dale Marie Kirk; two brothers, C. C. Miller and Samuel Miller, of Red Bluff.
Mrs. Hamilton and her husband, married 42 years ago, had been faithful church attendants throughout the years and funeral services are to be held at the Christian church at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. E. Welington McCash of that church officiating, assisted by A. M. McCoy.
Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery under direction of the Fickert mortuary.
