WILFRED FRANKLIN NOBLES, 79, left to be with his Lord on June 28, 2006.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Nobles and Lucille Sawyers, and his brother, Edward Nobles.

He was born in Lone Grove, Texas on October 17, 1926, and spent his childhood growing up in the Texas hill country. After graduating from Waco High School, he completed studies at 4C Business School before enlisting in the Navy during WWII. Upon discharge, he married his high school sweetheart, Wanda Merle Clark. He went on to earn a business degree from Baylor University, then enjoyed a distinguished career with the Exxon Company before retiring in 1988.

A tremendously energetic and outgoing individual, he was devoted to his family and friends and delighted in helping others in whatever way he could. He was an avid golfer and computer buff, and a lifelong learner in a wide variety of disciplines.

Funeral services will be 3:30 pm on Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the mausoleum chapel of Memorial Oaks Cemetery, followed by a celebratory reception at Pine Forest Country Club at 5:00 pm.
