Mr. Victor Adams 80 of Chapmanville, WV was born December 11, 1932 in Scott County, VA a son of Lillie Belle Wagner Adams of Robinette, WV and the late Frank Adams. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his four children and other family. Mr. Adams was a tipple mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Guyan Eagle Coal Company and Island Creek Coal Company, a member of the UMWA, a 1953 graduate of Man High School, a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, an Eagle Scout, Scout Master, he was a Softball, Little League and Buddy League Coach, and loved playing Golf. His hobbies included: chewing Redman Tobacco, visiting Towne and Country Supermarket, photography, giving people unique nicknames, talking with friends on the phone, and hanging out at Snook's Service Station. His favorite saying was: ‘You're a pain that a pill can't reach'. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue Adams on April 8, 2005, sister, Helen Urganus, daughter-in-law, Sheila Adams, brother-in-law, Edward Lovejoy, Father & Mother-in-Law, Thomas & Verlie Sexton and his best friend, Manuel Adkins. In addition to his mother, survivors include, children, Mike (Pam) Adams, Scott Adams and Vickie (Tony) Bell all of Chapmanville, WV, Katrina (Tony) Curia of Morgantown, grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Thomas (Heather) Adams, Jon (Jennifer) Adams, Samantha Adams, Shawn Adams, Olivia Bell, Ella Curia and Jacob Bell (on the way), great grandchildren, Trey Adams and Elijah Adams (on the way), sister-in-law, Delores Lovejoy, brother, Bobby (Barbara) Adams, aunt, Phoebe Sakay, niece, Wendy (Phil) Williamson, nephew, Chris Lovejoy and a host of other nephews, nieces and friends... A special thank you to Dignity Hospice and Caregiver, Tammy Bowling. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2013 with a Celebration of his Life at 7:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV. Military Graveside Services and Burial will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Grandsons and Family are serving as pallbearers.
