A native of Burke County, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison Parks and Ferrie Rhyne Parks. She was a bookkeeper and sales clerk. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was treasurer of Suzanna Wesley Sunday school class.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne P. Adkins; son, Larry Brown of Marion; a stepson; a stepdaughter; a grandson and a granddaughter.
Services were at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 1995 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
