ELKMONT SPRINGS, Tenn., Sept. 28 -- George and Lewis Hargrove, brothers, were overcome by damp today and died before they could be rescued from a well in which they were at work.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 29 - At Elkmont Springs, Tenn. today George and Lewis Hargrove, brothers, were overcome by choke damp and died before they could be rescued from the well in which they were at work.

INFORMATION FROM PEGGY IVEY LINE, WHO STATES "IN 1973 THERE WERE 37 FIELDSTONES MARKED GRAVES OUTSIDE OF THE FENCE NORTH OF THE CEMETERY. COWS HAVE KNOCKED DOWN ALMOST ALL OF THEM. MY NAME IS FRANK IRONS SR. AND I MADE A TRIP TO THE CEMETERY IN 2001. AND THE CEMETERY WAS PARTLY FENCED BY WIRE. CEMETERY WAS IN BAD SHAPE. LOCATED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY OFF STEVENSON RD.

Son: His name was James Pressley Hargrove. born in Sept 1901 He died in December 1984.

Daughter: Her name was Georgie Lee Hargrove.
