UFFELMAN, James (Jim) Charles Born in Waterloo, Ontario on December 1, 1923 Died in Kitchener, Ontario on July 16, 2013 Jim was the eldest son of the late Orley and Minota Uffelman. On Sunday, December 1, 2013, Jim would have celebrated his 90th birthday. He lived with Parkinson's Disease for the last 10 years of his life. Jim served as a pilot with the RCAF during the 2nd World War and flew his own aircraft for over 35 years. He was the Past President of the Ontario Seed Company Ltd. in Waterloo. He was an early member of the Waterloo Siskins hockey team. Jim curled for many years and was President of the KW Granite Club in 1966. He was also Past President of the Waterloo Club and a longtime member of the Westmount Golf and Country Club. He served as Commissioner with Waterloo Hydro for 10 years. At Jim's request, there was no visitation or funeral service. Cremation and Interment took place at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo. "In his death passes away a man of true nobleness of character. A man of hope, integrity and honesty of purpose, he has shown a life of success and all that goes to make up a true gentleman."
