Jane was born in Peru, the daughter of Samuel & Ruth Dolby.

She died in Peru, 19 March 1862, of "dropsy" at the age of 41.

*Her stone was removed when the monument was erected, the original epitaph read:

Prepare to meet the judgement

Died March 26, 1862
Aged 49 years & 11 months
