Gladys Anderson
Gladys Lucille Anderson, 91, of Lodi, died Dec. 4 in a local hospital. She was born July 12, 1913, in Bellingham, Wash.

She lived in Lethbridge and Calgary, Alberta, Canada as a child, and came to the U.S. at the age of 16, when she moved to Oakland. She married Robert Pip Anderson on June 18, 1950, in Oakland. The couple made their home in Stockton for the first two years of their marriage before moving to Valley Springs, where they lived for 17 years. They came to Lodi in 1969.

Mrs. Anderson enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for baking delicious pies. She was also a quilt maker and made different embroidered items.

She was a former member of First Assembly, Century Assembly and later became a member of Westside Assembly, where she was active in women's ministries.

funerals will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Westside Assembly, with the Rev. Leo Duncan officiating. Private interment will be at Harmony Grove Cemetery in Lockeford.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home.
