MRS. EDWARD McELWEE
Mrs. Ida McElwee, aged 30 years of Willow avenue, McKeesport, died yesterday. She was Miss Ida Draft, daughter of a Civil war veteran, and was one of the first American women to answer the call for teachers to go to Puerto Rico where she taught for several years. When she returned she married Edward McElwee, assistant paymaster in the W. Dewees Wood Steel mill, McKeesport, who survives.
