Mr Elling Ellingson settled in the Norway area in 1857 and assisted his half brother in locating a farm when Lars moved to the area in 1868.

Mr Ellingson drowned when when the bridge over Prairie Creek north of Norway collapsed after heavy rains. Harry Tuttle and Jim Hibben assisted in the water rescue but Mr Ellingosn died shortly after.
