Etta Baumgartle Funeral Held April 8

Etta Mae Padelford Baumgartle was born May 17, 1883 at Montrose, S.D. daughter of Warren and Nancy Padelford. At the age of seven she came to Lyle where she resided with her parents in Lyle township and where she also attended the Lyle Center rural school.

April 4, 1904, she was united in marriage to Frank D. Baumgartle. One son was born to this union. She and her husband resided on the farm in Lyle township where she resided until her death from a heart attack, April 5. She had been in failing health the last few years, which made her less active in daily life. She was a member of the Mona Lutheran church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are her son, Leo, of Route 2, Austin; a granddaughter, Mrs. Lowell (Sharon) Brady, Owatonna, Minn; 2 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Una DeRemer, Artesia, Calif.; Mrs. Alva (Blanche) Gregg, Lyle; Mrs. Fred (Golda) Duesler, Santa Ana Calif.; Mrs. James (Beatrice) Mann, Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, Arthur Padelford, Artesia, Calif.; Merrill Padelford of San Bernadino, Calif.; and Gaylord Padelford of San Francisco, Calif.; also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at the Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, with the Rev. S. Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in Rose Creek Cemetery, south of Austin, Minn.
