Brent was born in Anchorage, Alaska to Gerald Hans Barsness and Shellie (Diane) Morrison Barsness in 1962 where his Grandfather Cliff Morrison also lived at the time. In 1963 the family moved back to Minnesota where they lived for a time on the farm near Cyrus, Minnesota with Brent's grandparents, Palmer & Cora Barsness. The family then moved to Riverside, California area and from there to Bartonville, Illinois where Brent graduated from Limestone High School. He had worked in the microwave and TV steel tower industry most of his life and also was a professional welder. He was working on a job in Kansas City when his life was abruptly ended by a brain aneurysm. He was preceded in death by his mother, (Diane), in 1996, and his uncle Ron Barsness and his aunt Annette Barsness Ersch both in 2001. He is survived by his father Gerald Barsness of Springfield, Missouri, a son Lucas Anthony Barsness along with Lucas's mother Barbara G McCall and her children Cody, Krystal, Sonni (Pete) Youngblood and their children Austin and Tyler all of Springfield, MO He had five brothers and sisters: Blake Barsness of Springfield, Missouri; Hans Barsness of Fresno, California; Nathaniel Barsness, Guadalupe (Lupita) Barsness and Amalia Escobar Barsness all of Lordsburg, New Mexico. Other relatives include his aunt and uncle Rita & Merrill Carlson of Austin, Texas; his aunt Nancy Barsness of Cyrus, Minnesota and his uncle Oliver Ersch of Fredericksburg, Texas plus many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends not listed.
