Services for John "Jack'' D. Collins, 88, of 343 10th St., Moline, are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island, where he was a member. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., followed by a Father Edward J. Bader Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Memorial Service. Memorials may be made to the church or Knights of Columbus Building Fund.

Mr. Collins died Monday, Nov. 15, 1993, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline.

He was born Aug. 20, 1905, in Henry County, Ill., the son of Dennis and Catherine Pray Collins. He married Emma Miller Jan. 31, 1948, in Rock Island.

He was a 1925 graduate of Geneseo High School and had attended DePaul University, Chicago.

He was employed as a meat cutter for more than 50 years, last working at the former Larry Vogt Meat Market, Milan, retiring in 1970.

He was a member of Father Edward J. Bader Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Rock Island; Allouez Council No. 658, Knight of Columbus, Rock Island; and No. 431 District of Local Food Handlers.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Charles Urbonas, Haywood, Calif.; a son, Dennis Collins, Moline; and a grandson, Nicholas Urbonas, Haywood.
