Howard D. Sarver, age 71 of DeMotte, In passed away on November 25, 2013 at the University Of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, Il. He was born in Hannibal, Mo on August 27, 1942, to Howard and Betty (Simon) Sarver, both deceased.
Howard served his county proudly in the United States Army. In 1962, Howard married Marie and she passed away in 1972. In September 1994, he married Doris Williams and she passed away in 2007. On August 27, 2008, in East Prairie, Mo Howard married Linda Battle and she survives of the home. Howard retired in 2006 from the St. Louis Mo. Ford Motor Company as an electrician. Howard enjoyed spending time with his dachshund, whom he affectionately called "Amy Hound". Howard was a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge #75 in Silex, Mo. He was a 3rd degree Mason. Howard attended the Bethel Reformed Church in DeMotte, In.
Howard is survived by his wife: Linda; brothers, Donald & Doris Sarver, Nowark, CA and Mike Sarver Kansas City, Mo; step-daughters, Jackie & Bobby McGee, Sharon & Larry Kirby both of East Prairie and Donna & Ronn (Ooms) Phillips, DeMotte, In; four step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and many friends.
Howard was preceded in death by two daughters and one son.
Friends may call from 5-8 pm at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo where there will be a Masonic Service held at 7 p.m. conducted by the Charleston Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Shelby Chapel with Bro. Bill Adkisson and Bro. Jim Moore officiating. Burial will follow at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery in East Prairie with Shelby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
