A funeral for Gordon V. Vickers, 81, 62 West Circle, Northport, who died Saturday afternoon in the Veterans Administration Hospital here, will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cottondale Cemetery with Sunset directing.
Military graveside services will be conducted.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lillie Vickers, Northport; four daughters, Mrs. Laverne Jones, Fort Lee, Va., Mrs. Charlote Bartenfield, Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Virginia Bradshaw, Lewisburg, Va., and Mrs. Jeanell Webb, Birmingham; two sons, Chauncey Vickres and Michael Vickers, both of Samantha, a step-son, Huey J. Riley, Waskon, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Avie Stallings, Brentwood, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and other relatives.
Pallbearers were to be Donald Long, Leon Lunceford, O'Neal Webb, Rodney Gilliam, Larry Swiney, James Swiney, Edward Ballard and Jimmy Ballard.
Mr. Vickers was a member of the Arbor Springs Baptist Church, a member of the VFW and a veteran of World War I.
